Miguel Huarte Arregui
Miguel Huarte Arregui is a Partner of the Law Firm, where he leads the Infrastructure, Construction and Major Projects Area.
Miguel Huarte has advised on complex M&A procedures, mainly for telecom, biotech and renewable companies. Since 2000, he is primarily involved in advising on Construction and Infrastructure. He provides advice both on greenfields and brownfields, on privatization proceedings and on public-private partnerships (PPPs). Although he is focused on transportation and energy infrastructures, he also advises on environmental (water treatment…) and social (hospitals…) PPP projects.
He has developed his career in Europe, North America, Canada and South America.

Miguel holds a Degree in Law from Universidad de Navarra (XXXI Promotion). He completed his postgraduate studies at Oxford University and at London School of Economics and Political Science.
After establishing his own law firm in Pamplona, he collaborated for five years with different law firms in Barcelona and Madrid. He worked as an external counsel for the Industrial Engineers College of Spain. In 1997 he started working with Alonso Ureba, Bauzá y Asociados law firm, moving to Madrid in the year 2000. In 2002 he was appointed Partner of the law firm, being responsible for M&A procedures. After that, he was part of Ramón y Cajal Abogados, Eversheds in Madrid and London and Greenberg Traurig in London and New York. In 2013 he joined Baker McKenzie, as Lead Partner of Energy, Mining and Infrastructure (EMI).
Miguel is a qualified lawyer in Spain: in Pamplona (MICAP) since 1993 and Madrid (ICAM). Miguel is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
