Head of Commercial and Corporate Law
Águeda Montero specialises in Corporate and Public Law and has specific experience in the renewable energy sector. She is head of Commercial and Corporate Law in the department of Transport, Infrastructures, Energy, Engineering and Construction at ITER Law.
She has advised on numerous complex M&A transactions relating to the sale and purchase of PV plants and other renewable energy assets (c. 1.3GW), as well as other infrastructures, including both greenfield and brownfield projects. She also has advised on project financing and refinancing, and sector-specific contracts (among others, EPC and O&M contracts, and MoUs).
She has a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Besides, she has attended doctorate courses in Corporate Law and Practice and Corporate Legal Advice organised by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, among others.
Before joining ITER Law, she was in-house lawyer at Grupo Cobra (ACS), RIC Energy Group and Aquila Capital. Moreover, she prepared for State Public Administrator (Cuerpo de Administradores Civiles del Estado).
She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
